Title: Better do an intro
Post by: ChevRon on March 27, 2016, 02:33:13 PM
Joined in 2014. Due to life getting in the way haven't been here much. TFoch reminded me of this site on another forum. Thanks. Full blooded Chevy guy having owned several and worked at GM Proving grounds. Working on 27 Chev coupster and next is 27 Chev coupe I've had since 1979. Also just sold 65 Chevelle convertible.
Spent most of my life in Phoenix. From Kansas in the beginning. Retired in 2015 after working for a gentleman in El Paso who owned 45  hot rods. Good to be on a forum with like minded guys. Ron

One good thing about a good car forum is that even when life gets in the way it cheap enough to just join in and talk about anything.
As I said over on the Hamb I love the metal work on your hotrod. I am glad you are gonna hang around here, and hopefully we can learn from you. If you have some early pic's of your build, it would be cool to see them.

Thanks everyone
TFoch Tom Thanks for your comments. One of my objectives was to build a Chevy roadster that would rival
 a 32 you know what.
   62131   Thank you
ED Thanks and thanks for getting me back on here.
ghost  You are right.  Forums are great way to get on with life. I remember your comments . Thanks. I don't know if you will learn much from me as much as I will learn from you and the guys on here. I just beat everything into submission then try to straighten it out. And I have plenty of build pictures so will post some.
vette Thanks  Not much left here everybody found out and cleaned us out. Love the 32's and you are right 67 best year for Chevelles
    FATnLOW Thank you appreciate it.
A lot more to talk about. Look forward to spending time on here. Thanks again

Yea, That guy in Moriarty gleaned everything for miles and miles. There was a neat little stash in Glenrio but that's gone now too. I'd like to see more pictures of your roadster especially early body assembly (wood replacement).

ChevRon   I had quite a few good friends out in Arizona  that were either into street rods as in Mesa way out main street and my two great friends that are into corvettes, and the best dame flea markets for old cars that i have ever been to in my life. sometimes i wish i was back out there in Apache Junction but life moves on and so do we  later dude   vette59jdwl

From the looks of that Chevrolet ?? front axle its been dropped 5"..........very trick and got ya down in the weeds.  Big headlights finish the look fantastically.

A pair of aluminum ""frameless"" windshield posts would definitely suit the roadster.  Glass slides into slots milled in the aluminum and there is no windshield frame.

Munch  Thanks I noticed that is a great bunch of guys here.
 Sammons Thanks
vette I lived in Chandler Know a lot of Corvette guys. Actually worked with Scott Leon (Corvette Engineer) at GM
madmike  Chevy pickup axle heavily modified and I think it was right at 5". Get into  more detail later.
Windshield has been a problem but am leaning to exactly what you suggested . Thanks

Welcome back ChevRon.
That's a nice pair of 27 Chevies you have.

I'm currently Chevyless, so I tag along, and watch what you all are building.
