Twas the day before christmas and all through the shop, not a not a wrench was turning, not a car being chopped.
-
The air compressor was cold..the lights were all off.. the car was so pissed..the tire just popped.
-
The carburetors were nestled all snug under the hood, while the taste of Sunoco 260 danced in their bowls.
-
While Ma in her snow duds and me in my packs were pulling rusty chains out of a sack, when out side the door there arose such a clatter t'was a bear in the garbage growing fatter and fatter.
-
You guys are pretty good. LOL
-
From the shop to the house we ran like two deers to keep Mr Bruin from chewing our rears.
The 12 gauge I seized thankful there was no plug, jacked out the bird shot and stuffed in some slugs.
-
A noise rang out that almost deafened our ears
And as the bear ran off it calmed all our fears
-
We went back inside set down by the fire and enjoyed our long awaited Christmas cheer.
-
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof, a drunken ol' guy drinking 86 proof.

Sat down for an early Christmas Dinner ,which was a winner with Ham and all the favorite trimmings that surely would not make you thinner.
Then after Dinner with that far familiar stare you go sit down in in your favorite chair, then you fall into a nap with the dog in your lap.

And with the dog in my lap I soon will awaken from my afternoon nap and begin watching the children playing and laughing with gleam while reading and laughing to what was written by the Rusty Bowtie Team.

The bear didn't return to see what else he could steal but went down to the valley for another free meal.
The presents were opened, the wrappings were scattered,We had a great time and that's all that mattered.
T'was a wonderful dinner prepared by my frau but the family's gone home and we're all alone now.
When the sun went away I saw the temperature drop so I built a warm fire for the dogs in the shop.
As they curled up in their beds to sleep until dawn I wondered where my get up had gone.
My strength now is waining, my accomplishments few, I don't get the things done I intended to do.
The pieces I've gathered over much time don't get assembled into that roadster of mine.
But I heard the frame whisper as I flipped the light switch, "I can't build myself you lazy son of a ……"! :o
Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Great ending Sixball! ;D Maybe that's what I heard last night when I walked past my car? ;)
-
Thanks, I wasn't really trying to end it just for me. I'm sure there are happier endings out there. Tom actually was hauling Grandkids in his roadster.
And I heard the kid scream as the tires smoked out of sight, "Take me home Grandpa that enough for tonight!" ;D

Yeah great ending Sixball! Hope everyone had a great Christmas.
