I would never post this on any other site.
A very good friend of mine took his life this morning. I saw it coming but I was clearly not the friend he needed. Another cowboy bites the dust. :(

Sixball,
I feel your pain, I lost a freind of mine that way. I had talked him down several times and thought he was over it. As 62131 said sometimes freindship ain't enough. Don't kick yourself......they don't see life as we do.

Sixball that's rough. My heart goes out to you and his family. When I lost my ex wife that way, I promised I would live life like two people from that day on.

Sixball,
My heart goes out to you and your friend's family. I have lost friends, but not like that.
I know that I am just a name on a forum, but if a shoulder, you got it. I am sure that goes for everyone.
Take care.

Thanks guys, Your understanding words mean a lot to me. I thought he was making progress but he was in a very dark place and we were unable to get him out in the light anymore. Thanks again. :)

Sorry for your loss. OK guys not to rant to much. I was watching a program the other evening and they stated that 12% of young people under the age of twenty either have tried or have thought of taking their own lives. That to me is quite a serious situation. They claimed everything from depression to not being loved ,to not having a job or a future in sight.and even not having friends. I am not sure where this is going but i do think this sort of behavior is out of hand.We have to do something to get them back on track. Have you ever heard of a car nut kind of guy doing something like this NO me neither because he has something to ocupy his mind keep him out of the cat houses. and away from the streets the street gangs and the dope and over excesive drinking. What to do next????????vette59jdwl

Very sorry for your loss Sixball. I have known someone whom did the same, and its very difficult especially, when the person is too young and had so much ahead of them. Sometimes it seems, there's nothing anyone could have done or said and ultimately it lies within the person. Thinking of you!

I always thought if someone I knew was down or other I'd take them for a trail-ride in the jeep and let them see the outdoors and get away from the city . At least that's what helps me when im feeling down or stressed out, I go wheeling . Clear's the mind .
Going to Moab for me is like heaven on red rocks.
