As the temps are dropping and places like Buffalo get buried in snow, what plans do you have for your car? I want to work on my interior get my side windows and door handles in. Also some sound insulation and carpeting installed. Hopefully if all goes well get a convertible top on it.

In order to work on my 35 chev roadster SHAZZBOTT , I need to take my 35 coupe, fire it up and park it in the driveway if its not snowing or raining, so that I can take my 35 Chevrolet std x membered frame and set it up on saw horses. Luckily all 186 button head allen heads are out and frame is in 10 pieces. Little tight in the 2 car garage. Fire up the house furnace in garage and wait the 10 minutes to be toasty.
What am I gonna do while its up there ??? There is a whole lot of outside frame rails extra holes that need to be filled in with welded in rotabroach made slugs. I have the 4 x-member rails already filled up. Now those side rails look to have about 20 holes in the side rails that should not be there.
Got a fresh bottle of argon gas and ready to TIG the slugs in. Its going to be a show worthy frame.
Got a call from Fawcetts restoration shop here in town where the rear gas tank cover panel is being repaired. Wow wow wow, that guy knows what he is doing to make metal panels and repair them properly. Apparently 2 days worth of labour at $80 per to do the fix. He also took the twist out of my luggage rack using his machinery and also some low spots . This was done with pressure not heat.
Happiness is asking for quality and actually getting what your paying for.

Tom...What do you have in mind for a top?

Moose,
I have the original bows. Once I get them mounted in place and have the side windows in place I plan to talk to a guy I've used in the past to make a rag top for me. I've tossed around what colors I want and after the photo shop rendering you did I think I'll go with a black top.

My hope is that my roadster chassis will be a roller by spring with the engine and trans mounted. That would give me a year to get it running for events I want to take it to in 2016. Lots to do. :(

I have high ambitions. With winter on us I'm hoping to recruit more help, and finish mine. Time is not my friend, so it's this winter or bust.
-
My plans are to get all my panels fitting correctly and then disassemble it again and get it in primer. I hope to get my power window units in, get the exhaust started and hopefully have running before spring.

Most of the crap I was gonna do this winter I did in the last three weeks. Sudden burst of energy I guess. I think for my winter goals is to do a total finish up painting, sealing, and undercoating on the underside of the body, start the body work, build the top bows, mount the body, I guess hit it as hard as I can.

I'm still updating my interior especially in the back, and hope to remove the air ride from the front and replace with coilovers.

Hopefully get my seat back before the spring ;D, then finish the interior and prime the car. Block the primer and ready it for paint in the spring.....lofty winter ambition, but you never know.
