If any of you guys follow Barrett-Jackson (I do, I like to dream) the entire Ron Pratte collection is going up on the auction block in January. How about we all chip in and buy a hubcap?

Unfortunately speed vision is no longer available in Canada due to a dispute between the major cable supplier and speed vision. The alternative the new velocity TV is also not available here.
So looks like my all week no work on hot rod is gone and will have to get out into the garage.
The alternative is to go too the event, or go south to where I can watch it on tv at a hotel.
booooooooooooooo hissssssssssssssssssssss

question is, is all of his collection for sale or just some of it.?

From what I read, they are auctioning off the entire collection. They also say that no one knows the reason the collection is being sold. The collection is estimated at about 50 million dollars.

Do they know something we don't? Could it be that the value of possession's (home's cars)are going to go down in value.
With the stock market being at record high is the wealthy going make it crash and they are selling things off to get what they consider top dollar for it?
-
I don't think so.

Recently watched one of those restoration projects on TV where they restored one of those GM Futurliner trucks like the red one in the picture. The guy spent BIG- BIG - BUCKS restoring it...guess they sell for millions...

Can you imagine having the choice to drive any muscle car, hot rod or prototype anytime you wanted? (on your own runway) That's the stuff of dreams....
