Title: 200 R4
Post by: munch on November 10, 2014, 09:56:37 AM
I had a 200 R4 transmission installed in my 1930 a few months back.  Now it seems to be shifting too quickly and unless you are driving it hard, the engine will bog when accelerating.  Unfortunately the gentleman that installed the transmission passed away.  I am having trouble finding someone to look at it.  When you say hot rod they back off.

Any suggestions?

I posted this information about the importance of proper TV cable adjustment for the 700R4 and the 2004R on my tech thread. It's most important to have the correct geometry between the carburetor linkage and the transmission. If you don't you could severely damage the clutch packs and band in the transmission. You should be able to get it set up properly using a pressure gauge and there are various kits the correct the geometry for most carb or injection setups.

I have and I didn't like the price. I use their torque converter lock up control but I liked the Bowtie Overdrives cable correction better...fully adjustable and easy to install and at the time I bought it at least it was much cheaper. see link below
