Kits are available but has anyone upgraded the rear springs on lets say a 37 Chevy sedan? If one wanted to make his own kit which springs, shackles and misc. hardware works?  Replacing the stock rear axle with one from about a 2000 Blazer and want the car lower than stock.

I used lowering blocks. had to cut them at an angle to get the drive shaft at the right angle. 2000 s10 rearend.

Have lowering blocks and new perches that won't be welded to the axle tube until angle is correct. I'll be able to drill another centering hole in the new perches if the axle needs to be moved to the rear about an inch.

Did you use the stock leaf springs?
