Steve...plans are to upholstery with Ultra Leather, with some kind of design and inset .... Using two colors that go together...I have a picture as to what I want.Will post when I find it

couldn't find photo of door panels but  possibly colors something like this...still along way from this point

Well Velcro doesn't work as I thought it would..sticks well to the plastic but not well at all on wood or steel...changed up fastners...

Too bad the velcro didn't hold. Nothing wrong with trim screws, easy to use and they don't break off R&R the panels ;)

Screws look just fine. For what it's worth, I used newer style door panel clips. The heads get covered over by whatever you use for upholstery.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

The way around the non stick Velcro  too wood , would be to nail or small screw a material that the velcro will stick to , in the correct locations.  Problem solved ???
