Heck that looks pretty good. Are you using the roll on or spray? I've used the spray (rattle can Duplicolor) on many things in the past with good results.  I painted a big rig for a guy and he wanted me to spray his steps and a non-slip pad on top of the rear fenders. It held up real well. Keep at it! ;D

This got me to thinking back what dad used to do. We always had late model totaled (70's) LTD's out back, he would cut that heavy pebble grain vinyl top off and recover his running boards.

I like that bedliner idea...plan on using it on portions of the front floor foot area of my 33 Chevy.  Some of that commercial spray on stuff can actually lay out about 1/4" thick if need be.

Steve....Actually I  used a paint brush on the first coat.   tack welded  the  mounting clips so they would not move .. then brushed that area a little heavier to build up that divot ..the next coat I will use a roller to level it all out...

Looks good to me FATnLOW. Innovative!
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

1 piece hood for the top..and removable side panels..hinge rod on side pieces were a bear to get out. Decided to go this way due to a bad center hinge and wanted to protect the paint.....have correct head light arms on order..                                              Side panel fits good ..now just finish hood and support rods

Where did you find the right headlight bars?  Hood looks good.  Do you have all the pulls for the hood doors?

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Looks like fun Ed. ;)  Are you going to have smooth hood or will it still have the rib?

smooth on top...but should have left  a rib ..got a little warp at the cowl end..if I  would have left a rib don't think it would have warped...when I welded I hammered and dolly all welds ,,guess I got it a little hot...it wil be a  3 pc. hood, with removable sides...
still have to come up with side hood hinge.....getting tired of this hood project...might look into  Dan Fink hood latch system the 3 -way system...also I  like the Fast Forward hinge system.......but they are  $$$$
also got the correct head light bars on...what a difference  on the fit..really happy with those  bars

There is a seller on ebay who was making "center of the top"  hood hinge assembly for 1933--1935, offered them in chrome.

Not sure about a 32 Chevrolet as I have not really looed at one.  Cannot remember last time I saw one at a cruise nite.

How about ROOT LIEB HOODS  out of California, he makes the hoods stock or 3 piece.  He might offer them with 32 ford center hinge ???  Check out his site and see what he offers.

Believe the ebay seller is AMERICAN MUSCLE who sells the stock chevy 33-35 center hinge.

BOWTIE REPRODUCTIONS in ohio specializes in 1932 Chevrolet parts.
