New fuel line is in. (No leaks)
It started right up. Felt good to hear that engine rumble.😎
Removed the last of the "ride control" shocks.
Also chopped 2.5" of the tailpipe at the forward end to get the pipe away from the shock.

Ordered a new water pump bypass hose. Should be here tomorrow.

The car is finally off the ramps. Hopefully tomorrow a test run with the new rear shocks.

Nice!!!.................you don't like those "ride control" shocks? ::)
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

I can't understand why some manufacturer has not made a shock that works like that.  In the street rod world there is a market for such a thing.  I know I could use them on the '39.

I love the idea of ride control.
Pull a knob inside the cab and change how stiff or soft the ride is.  8)
In the name of safety, I had to go modern.
Putting the new water pump bypass hose on tonight.

Just got back. Wow what an improvement.
Rides nice.
Went to O'Reilly's to grab some coolant and took the highway back. That was way better.

While coming home I pulled into the big-lots and did a big Smokey burnout.
In fact, I did two. Couldn't help myself. 😊
Rear floor is missing. I now smell like burnt rubber.

Decided I better get home before the cops show up.

Hopefully pics soon.

Glad you improved the ride.  More comfortable miles now!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Sometimes I wish. Luckily we've been open this whole time.

Gave it a wash Saturday.
 Even cleaned the engine. 8)

Good to see it out and about.  8)

It's good to be driving around in it.

Something I've been wanting to do for a few years, Is getting new rear fenders.
Today I placed an order for rear fenders through Speedway. Took advantage of the free shipping.

I guess in the midst of all this madness, I forgot to register the car this year. Plates were almost expired. Good thing my dad said something.

All good now. Was able to call and get a new pin number to do it online. $10, cant beat that.😎
