Me too, thanks for posting :D
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

I rolled the top up on the car. First time doing that since I've sewn it up. Maybe a night drive is in order.

New taillights are in. LEDs are gone.
Our best guess
A diode had failed and resulted in blown turn signal fuses.
I liked having the brightest taillights but I can't have this happen on a long distance trip, easier to replace a bulb.

I think the bulb lights look better in a way.

Alrighty then !
After new taillights, turn signal switch and HD flasher I think the electrical gremlin has been found.
Boy those taillights look sinister. ;D

Saw one of these exhaust caps at a Ag store close by and was tempted to try it out.

Had to flip the cap around and reweld it to get it to work at this angle.
2nd pic is at idle .

Glad you found the problem, the way you were describing it the switch almost had to be the culprit.

I've just whizzed through the whole thread, don't remember if I ever looked at it before.
A lot of pics are not working at the start,  but there's enough at this end.
Very cool Pontiac, I'll keep checking in, cause I know there's a burn out vid coming. ;D
