Yes, Rattiac, we've all had minor setbacks. I had my front and rear ends in and out several times "cutting and fitting" to get it just right. It's kind of.....fun ::)
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

I was able to use a piece of electrical conduit for that sleeve. Worked perfectly.
Made a tiny hole for a set screw to hold the bushing in place.

Also got my fender back from the metalshaper. It cost me a few hundred bucks but it was worth it. The whole fender got straightened and fixed where it was cracked and creased. Along with the 3" that rusted out near the running board mount.
Super happy with it.

I put the drag link on and decided it needed a bend.
It has one sideways bend in it but needs another up down bend to clear the leafs turning left.

Looks good nice work,
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Made the bracket for the column mount. I finally got to use my bandsaw.  8)
Welded some tabs on it so I can use a hose clamp to clamp it together tightly.

Nice work, Rattiac! How did you bend the drag link?
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

We have a bender at work.
Fabbin is fun. Especially when it's free.  ;D

Today the fuel pump went back on and the column mount is done.
I gotta bend the fuel line and maybe a test drive tomorrow.

Hell yeah !
Test drive did great. Only around the neighborhood though.
Im amazed at how easy the steering is. Almost too easy. All that's left is I need to adjust the toe. Im toed out right now  .
