During the downtime and other projects in the way I was able to work on the Headlight stands.
Cant get em' chromed yet,  so I just wire-wheeled  and polished em on the buffer at work.
(left is untouched) right is polished.

Home powder coating is another option.

Cool ride, hopefully the first of many more!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

A milestone. I hope to do that someday.

Alright got some funds together. Should be going in for a windshield here in a few weeks. Then just after my 4x4 trip, getting back to work on it. Lets see. Here's the shi#!-list .
1.) Windshield
2.) E-brake cables install
3.) bolt in front bench
4.) figure out where to mount the peep mirrors (up high or factory location)
5.) bolt down rear fenders and bolt to running boards
6.) tidy up loose wires under dash
7.) "A SUPRISE" but has to do with front fenders.
8.) Headlights
9.) Finish sewing up top w/ snaps and Velcro
10.) Weld up hitch
11.) Go get inspected and register .
THATS ALL ... I THINK

I want to have this on the road by June for its first carshow and the local Lincoln Hwy assc is having a event here and don't want to miss that.

Damn, its been awhile since Ive started it up . Better do that this weekend .
I really need to quit going wheeling sooo much.

On my 33 Chevy 5 window coupe...had to buy a longer shafted peep mirror to see around the side of the car...where it is located was not my choice...it's the only location that works. :)

I already have the mirrors and they have a bent arm. On other Poncho's that I have pics of it looks like they go just under the hinge near the bottom of the window. Don't know if I'll try and swap em' out for straight arms  . Speedway's pretty good about that but I bought em' last year.
Also the doors have no holes for a factory location. So these have a clamp on option.
One of those put it up to it and see where it looks good things .

I bet it feels good that the driveline came from a running car and ready to drive!  No break in problems...

Yes, that was nice. I liked not having firewall issues.
Made installing the engine kinda fun instead of work.
