Gave sum old friends ride
« on: November 22, 2013, 09:50:04 PM »
Two old friends stop by.He was 90 and she 83. It was a nice day. So I asked if he would like to take a ride. He said yes. So I took the 32 out.
He had a grin as wide as his face. We took a ride around town. Not knowing how he would take it. I stopped and lit them up. He turn to me with a big grin. And said NOW THAT WAS FUN! Then I took them all for a ride in the T. They thought that was real nice. He asked if I would give her a ride in the 32. She said yes. But we will have to make it fast. She had to get home before dark. So I said ok. I got out of my yard. Stopped and lit them up big time. She looked at me with a big grin and said I LOVE THIS CAR! ITS BEAUTIFUL!
Go's to show you. Sum old people are cool.

Now that's a great story.I hope I'll still be enjoying riding in or even better driving a hot rod at that age.
Too soon we get old too late we get smart. One out of two ain’t bad 8)

Cool story. I have a few older guys that I have met through the years. They are both in their eighties now, I make a point of stopping by in my 72 blazer during the summer months. They both love to go for rides. I think it takes them back to the old days. I think it puts an even bigger smile on my face.

Great story Don. Glad the enjoyed the ride and the burn out!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

AWWW Cmon. They might have liked the burn out and had some grins, but I bet your smile was just as wide.

That's true enjoyment for everyone, I'm sure they talked about even after they went home.

Awesome stuff. We should all take more older folks for rides. Only problem i have, is my Hudson dosent have much room in the cab, and can be hard for people to get in and out of. I try and take as many people as i can for rides.
