I'm missing the brackets that go between the frame and the fender/ apron.

Does any one know what they look like or if they are reproduced?

I have taken a long break from working on this thing not really sure if I'm going to get traction, but it might be more productive than chasing women.....

This is the car in question. I bought it as the leftover parts of a very nice hot rod.

I'd like to help too, but those brackets were long gone by the time I got my car.  Did you try The Filling Station or Bow Tie Reproductions? Cars are nice, but if you are not married, chasing women might be just a little more fun........but just a little.

I don't think they are too big but they are on the  lower front between the frame and the fender.

The bracket goes under the fender under the 2 forward holes.


At least I think.

I believe I know what brackets you are referring to.As you said it sits on top of the frame between the fender and frame and has an arm that extends down to the side of the frame on the inside of the front frame horn with a threaded hole for mounting the front splash shield. Are they something that can be fabricated or are they too complex?

They aren't very complex at all but I can't find a picture of one and once they are on the car you can't see them or I'd try to get a picture of mine. Maybe someone else can help with a picture.

The guy that I bought the parts from to make this car described them the way you did and thought I could make them without too much trouble.

At least I have a picture of the Loch Ness monster.

I did find a splash apron that's in repairable shape. The checks in the mail. Should be here next week.

Has anyone seen the deck lid skin from bow tie?  A mouse lived in mine and it ate a hole at the top. Repairable but i saw the listing for a new skin.

I've gotten a few sheet metal  reproduction parts over the years from Bow Tie Reproductions and they all have been absolutely top quality and exactly like original.

If those are the clips wonder if he'd sell you them without the apron?

Don't know the seller, but he's got an older guys dies that repopped lots of 31-32 chevy stuff in his garage, and made unbelievable restored roadsters.  He's getting to old to mess with cars and sold off the dies, so we should be seeing more and more stuff from this seller.
