Hey guys, I have been a die hard Chevy guy for as long as I can remember.  Which is kinda weird since my automotive mentors ( two uncles ) are both die hard Ford guys. 

I bought my first chev at 14, a 68 c-10. Still got it! After a few S10's I added a 72 2wd blazer to my collection. I have recently decided that I wanted something prewar. I'm a family man so it had to sit more than 2 people. I settled on a 2dr coach.  I lucked out and found one in amazing shape.

I am really excited to dig into this project. But I have come to realize how much I don't know about these cars. Kinda weird for me as I I know my C-10's inside and out, so expect a lot of questions:).

Welcome to the forum.  My first truck was a 67 C10 Short Bed.  Wish I still had it!  Looks like you have a good car to start with for your project.  There are plenty of good Chevy and GM guys on here that can hopefully answer the questions you have.  Good luck and keep us updated.

Thanks for the welcome guys. The car is in amazing shape! I have not found any real rust and the wood is in awesome shape as you can see in the pic. The c-10' are definately my first loves:)

I don't plan on digging into this project for awhile. Got a few other projects to complete first.  Always collecting parts though.

I do have an overall build theme in mind though :

Fender less, mild small block, 5 speed, 4" chop? Basically traditional styled but with a more modern chassis and drivetrain as my wife has expressed quite a bit of interest in driving it.

Welcome ...You Chevy sure does look like it's in great condition. Looking forward to seeing the build come together. The fact that you wife wants to drive it too is the best insurance that you will finish the project.
