Thanks, Tom. I am putting it in a local show, about a mile from my house, on Sunday. I don't think I stand a chance in winning anything, but it will be great to get my boys out there and they are really excited, and that's what it is all about.

Jim,
Make sure you take some pics at the show.  Getting the kids involved IS what it's all about.  We had the Cruise Downtown last weekend and even though my car wasn't ready to go we had some friends over after the show.  Two young guys showed up from where I work just so they could see my car.  They stayed around and were the last ones to leave.  It was great to have these two young guys enjoy hanging around with the rest of us old car guys.

We had  a great time Sunday. Three out of four of my boys were there. Great weather, great music, great cars, great food, and we even got a trophy for "Best Under Construction". I'll post some other pictures shortly.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. The boys had a good time and now I think the bug has bitten them. October 6th we were invited to go to Atco Raceway and a day of drags sponsored by The Philadelphia Modifiers Car Club. The boys are REALLY psyched for that!
Here's a few pictures of the cars that were there. There were over 200 cars and thousands of people.

Here's a few more pics.
I know what you mean 62131, that was the look I was going for. Because I was going to leave the engine exposed I wanted it to stand out a little, but not be gawdy looking, and also look kind of mid '60's period. So...black and chrome.

Great pics, some real nice cars there.  Your car is looking great.  How do the boys decide who gets to drive to the show in it?  Enjoy Atco Raceway.  I made some passes down that track from 1980 to 1984.

One goes with me, the other comes back with me.....my little guy doesn't mind.
I was a familiar face at ATCO around 1978 and 1979. I ran my 1967 Mustang. Won a few, lost a few more.
