Chopper...The only thing Tom didn't mention was that he gets about 10 feet of snow every winter and the oil man can't get in to fill the furnace tank until spring....Still time to turn around :D
Too soon we get old too late we get smart. One out of two ain’t bad 8)

Very cool stuff, Sammons.
Over the last few days i have been upholstering my interior. I decided to make my own windlace. To buy the stuff is about $3.00 a foot and, although it is black, there is no guarantee it will match my vinyl. So here's how I did it:
1. I bought 1/2" foam rubber backing/insulation cord from Home Depot.
2. I cut 3" wide strips of vinyl and backer cord to the desired length.
3. I drew a line down the center and shot a narrow spray of contact adhesive down the line. I glued the backer cord on the line to   keep it in place.
4. I laid a thin bead of glue from my gluegun parallel to the cord and folded the vinyl over. Voila!! Instant windlace that matches my upholstery. 1/2" foam rubber backer cord cost me about 5 bucks. Saving me about $70.00.
5. Then I glued it with contact cement to the inside of the door frame. I also put in a few pop rivets at the ends and middle.

I also started upholstering and installing the interior panels.
Fitting and trimming and then I covered the panels with a roll of foam headliner that I had. Then covering that with vinyl. So far, I am very happy.

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

OK, I finished all of the interior panels around and behind the seat. Now I just have to finish the windlace, passenger kickpanel and doorpanels. I am going to do a little experimenting and try my hand at sewing some pleats for the door panels. Wish me luck, I will probably sew my fingers together. ;D
At least now I can put my seat back in and go for a spin.

Chopper 526  One of the nice things abot doing your own door panels is you can sew your own
door flap on the door panel so you could put your maps or cell phone of gps maps in the door folders

That's part of my plan Vette. I'm trying to find a good "how-to".

Chopper , that is coming along really well . I did everything but the headliner in mine last year . It's hard to believe how many curse words you can use in such a small space !!!!!
