The V-8 Is Not Dead: GM Confirms New Sixth-Gen Small-Block
GM is investing nearly a billion dollars to gear up for its next-generation V-8 gasoline engine.

Biden's going to be mad...if it doesn't have an extension cord...it must be outlawed.

Smart move on GM's part.
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

As much as they may want, I don't thing gas powered is going anywhere for quite awhile.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

I see that NASCAR is considering an all electric series in the future...then they can play Beethoven over the P.A. system to chill the race fans ;)

NSCAR pit stops with possible battery swaps maybe in racing's future not mine. I haven't watched an Indy race since the rear engine cars took over. I just don't care. Electric cars are taking over, The Nevada Tesla Gigafactory is directly over the mountain from me, probably less than 10 miles. They are enlarging the battery plant & opening a truck plant (500 mile range tractor trailer rigs) That will give the drivers time to sleep while charging unless a charged truck is waiting. It is OK they will drive themselves.

It is becoming apparent why the Government (BLM & USFS) is closing roads on our public land. There is no way to have charging stations way out there. I've been living "off the grid" for 50 years. I have a mill, lathe, welder, belt sander, compressor, microwave....., but I'll never have enough power to charge an electric car.

My son's company just took on a project in California. It involves testing about 100 older wells and deciding which ones to save and which ones are no linger productive and seal them. They will also drill around 20 new ones. Even with the state & federal government stacking up against them the need will be there for the foreseeable future not just the 10 years Biden spoke of. You would have to look long & hard to find a product that is not in some way dependent on crude oil and mining in general. If you can not grow it you have to mine it and the tools for growing depend on mining.
