Essex, looking damn good! 👍  The detail in the sheet metal around the inner fender header and stuff like that i really notice. I've noticed most people never know what was custom built to make everything clear and look right. These custom builds take a lot of time to one personaly make you happy. It's worth it to me and peoole do usually like it, they just don't notice the little things that make it so. Keep it up, if you don't have a long pause between sides, its pretty easy to duplicate the other side🙂



My buddy that bought my coupe has been calling a lot. The car has been moved to its 3rd location now and pieces are being misplaced. Now he is trying on his own to put it together and finish up the drivers door which i never got around to getting the inner structire built, the door had been tweeked out of shape. Think hes on the right track. My memory has faded over the years since i did the passengers side, so thankfully i took a lot of pics to look and remember😁

Thank you Rattiac I've always liked wide wheels and never got why
people shorten the axles instead of going with big arches  ~grinning~.

Yes sammons, not leaving it for too long helps a lot. Starting to work
on someone elses project, not knowing wherre to look for the parts in a ton
of bags and crates would be another level of hard.

Thank you TFoch. Inspired by those weird american quasi classics of the
eighties with the fake(?) exhausts coming out through the hood sides. I loved those.

I got my laser cut parts delivered home a few days ago. First one is mounted with acorn
nuts and all, this is all stainless, so it will be poished, and I think it will look good against
black paint surrounding the stainless header tubes



Since the fender is getting ready, I figured that it's time to think about the head light mounts
There was no way I could get them mounted as low as I wanted any other way than to make
mounts to put them at an angle.
These are the resulting mounts.



Here's my hand holding the head light bucket and mount in place. I chopped the mount a bit
after taking this pic.



Luckily the glass was easy to turn level, so now, if you  don't think about it, the heald light
looks normal.Just a few more things, and I get to start working on the other fender.

I started the new year off with welding the other head light mount
to the frame and hanging the right side fender in a somewhat
realistic position.
Now we get a first real look at what the front will look like.

Agonizingly slow work to get the other fender to sit the same
way as the first one. It?s locked down lengthwise, and pretty
much sideways too.
I?m giving up for today, but tomorrow is a day off and I hope to
get the bow that holds the fender up done then. For now the
whole thing is held height wise with the box and 8 by 2.
Looks good so far, it?s level for the moment being.
I have two exactly cut pieces of 2?x4? steel profile as jack stands
under the front cross member to keep it all level.
Keeps weld spatter and such away from the wheels too.
