HELP PRICING 1951 Ford ShoeBox Project

(1/1)

EDNY:
Period Correct Restoration Project?

What is the value of this project?

Neighbor is the 2nd owner of this 1951 Ford 2DR ShoeBox.  It was stored outside covered with a tarp for years.  The 1954 Olds engine is stuck (been lubricating the pistons etc).

The body is pretty solid, stock Ford rear end, and stock suspension with drum brakes.

Here are the notes from the owner:

1951 Ford 2 Door Coupe
1954 Olds Engine

Bored/Balanced
5” Jahn’s pistons
Extra supported crankshaft
Engle camshaft
Iskenderian springs and rockers
Dual point ignition
4 barrel carb
1956 rebuilt Olds heads
Headers
New radiator (OEM type)
Balanced drive shaft
1953 Cadillac Hydrostick transmission (rebuilt)

Engine only had a few hours running time.  Engine rebuilt years ago in NJ in the 1960’s.

Xtras:  1953 Desosto Grill (mint condition), two large chrome front arrow shaped lights, cannot recal their provenance,  extra 1954 Old heads, extra carb and distributor.

It looks like a '49-'50 to me. ''51 had big chrome trim on the tail lights. Unless they changed it. Looks like a good place to start for someone with the will. No Idea on price.
