Spray Paint Shortage
« on: November 11, 2021, 07:12:47 AM »
Went to my local Advanced Auto Parts to get some Duplicolor Semi Gloss Black spray paint.  Not a can to be found.  Tried Walmart and their shelves were empty.  I tried to order it online through Walmart online and was told it's back ordered nationally.  My wife placed an order through Amazon for a 6 pack of cans.  Hoping to get it next week some time.

Amazing the things that are hard to get!  Never thought there would be a spray paint shortage.  What are all the people that tag bridges do???
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

I was out paying my local bills yesterday, picked up a can of gloss black Duplicolor. The Hardware store and both Parts houses had full spray paint shelves. Odd that different areas have different shortages. Around here it seems to be Patatoes, go figure🥴

I was looking for maroon spray paint a few weeks ago and had to get a brand I didn't want. When I got it home I didn't like the color. I'll sane it for tagging "GO BRANDEN". I was able to get a six pack of Rustoleum from Amazon. One of the store clerks said the shortage was due to a shortage of cans. At that time they could still get the most common colors. If it's getting down the black it it is serious, I have noticed less stitch in most places here. My son is the commercial parts guy at an O'Reilly in Reno. He said they are having a hard time finding filters of all kinds and brands. My wife and I did some Christmas shopping in Reno last week. Two of the stores we like were very noticeably under stocked. The shelves & all available floor space are usually jam packed at this time on year There were few floor displays. Items on shelves were spaced to fill space and some display cases had empty spots. These are high end stores.
