Any gun is better than no gun! Years ago we used to have informal shooting matches where we would "compete" with what ever we had from antique muzzle loaders the modern bolt actions and self loaders. At one match I was shooting an 1867 Remmington rolling block in 11.7 mm Danish, almost exactly 45 70, and my friend a British Martini in 7mm. Actually we were kicking butt and hitting what we shot at rather spraying lead over the mountainside. One shot, make it count. One target was a 55 gallon barrel at a distance that my front sight totally covered it. A little adjustment to allow a six o'clock hold thumped it like a drum with every shot. Around us were SKS, AR 15, AK47, M!, M14 and many lever, bolt and pump action repeaters. I ask my friend with the only other single shot if he felt out gunned? He smiled and said, "One of these will get me one of those if I need it." That is what the FP 45 was all about. A Luger, Mauser, Nambu, or Arasaka was just a pat on the back away.  ::) You don't need a combat weapon to get a combat weapon. A crappy little gun gives you a bit more space than a knife or rock.  :)
