Just recently my dad had a spare blow up.
It was bolted to the side of his flatbed trailer.
For days he was wondering what the "boom" was he heard. 💥

Wow never seen that happen!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Been so hot out here I have to go out and start the car 3 or 4 times a day just to cool it down!

When I heard the boom...I went out side to the back yard checking on fireplace chimney to see if and bricks fell off...but all was good...I found it strange the neighbors below me were looking at me....usually they keep to themselves ...I guess they heard the boom too and were wondering what the heck is he doing now!!!....when I found the tire like that I had a chuckle about the neighbors looking at me....just didn't put it together when I was looking out side when investigating what the problem was as they were watching me... Lol

When I was a kid in Texas sometimes in the summer we had to build a fire to cool off.  :o

Good thing you didn't have to use that spare, you might not have made it.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Happened to my 69 Firebird about 6 months ago.   Didn't hear the boom but saw the car sitting on the rim the next day.
