We are fine. I was woken around 4 AM but some loud banging. My first thought was a break-in so the 12 gauge and I took a look. I was in the hall when there was an aftershock. i took a quick look around inside and went back to bed. I was fun reading the responses today. It did enough damage to the highway outside Tonopah that they closed it. It's about 150 miles from us but every quake tends to load up other faults while relieving that one.

Thanks guys, we were never in danger from the quake.
There is far more danger from the criminal gang members hiding out all over the rural west. It's just one old man and one old woman up here with the quickest help is at least a half hour away, if they'd come at all. Everyone who knows me knows not to visit without calling first and never after dark. By the time any one gets to my house they are a mile and a half past the NO TRESPASSING signs. I just assume anyone who shows up after dark in not out enjoying a drive in the country and they don't have my best interest in mind. I'm not paranoid just prepared.  ;D

Sixball.. Same here....I don't lock my doors and the keys are in all the vehicles. But it is getting to where I am going to, what with the evil Governor we have now after she opened the borders.
I am about a mile off the rural highway.
My biggest worry is fire or a tree falling on the house, but like Sixball  I am prepared.   Ron

Ron, I really like that that part of New Mexico, really all of it. It is a shame what a few western cities populated with city people are doing the the western states and western lifestyle through the people they elect to run a place they don't understand. All you have to do is look at how the liberal (City) governors have totally blown the handling of the virus response in the rural western states. At least we can feed ourselves.  :)
