Rattiac., great job on the tops!

Rattiac, nice. Can't say i'm wild about the bright red top on the '64 Galaxy, but nice job and car.

Ed, your sedan is really looking good.
Thanks guys.  Finally have some dealer work coming in.
I kinda liked that red cloth top.  It broke up all that white.  We don't ever get custom colors.

The weather here has been kinda odd.  It was 100 the past few days and now tonight it's in the 40's. My hand would tell me if a storms coming but I had a few new blisters pop up this morning.  Blisters on top of blisters.
Gotta start on the truck tomorrow once the water pump comes in from summit.

You sure do some mighty nice work, not a wrinkle to be found. Any pictures of that GT?
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Nice!

My buddy back in 79-80 had a chance to buy a 69-70 Gt 500 conv same colors. He was going to diesel mechanic school when the tierod broke driving a nice '69 Camaro he bought from my brother. Thought he needed another car and found two, the Shelby conv and a '76 RS Camaro. Got pre approved bank loan. $3900 for the Shelby or $2800 for the Camaro. He chose Camaro and kicked him self for years to come😁

Nice Rattiac!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Ok, update change on my coupe. My buddy Dale that wanted it thought he could marketplace buy sell swap and do some quick flips/trades and get the money. No good trades and was spending too much time, so said he couldn't swing the cash.

I told my buddy Lonnie what was happening, he said he wanted to ask but thought i was giving it to my nephew. I told him that yes, when it was done and i couldn't drive anymore and that wasn't going to happen. That was a week ago, he said he wanted it. I told him he couldn't finish it, that was what he always paid me to do. He said no, but his buddy Geno could. He said they would be here saturday to pick it up. I went 6 nights on 2hrs sleep, mind keep thinking where are all the parts.

Tom spent 5 evenings finding parts, shop, my garage, out back and my garage, basement. They didn't get here till saturday after noon to start loading. It was 107?degres out missarable. Got most parts gathered and out to garage. Sunday got an early start on loading parts in Geno's topper, filled it up almost 3/4 of the way to top of topper roof. We found parts i forgot i bought😁 I told Lonnie i had a lot of parts, lol Loaded car on trailer and they headed home shortly after 9 am.  As they pulled off, a huge weight was lifted off me and i was totally relaxed. Went to bed at 8 and went right to sleep and stayed asleep for 10.5 hrs🙂

So i told Geno that any build pics he needed i had over 3k pictutes on my phone, it may take time to find. Then the "Oh, oh" moment. Showed him the web site amd said i started a build thread 10yrs ago. Told him if he would like to join that he could post updates and continue on my original build thread. Lonnie let me keep my new rallys, tires, trim rings and spinner caps. I figure i lost just around $1k.

Bittersweet for sure Tom. I can't believe i hadn't touched it in 7yrs. I have good faith it will be be back on the road. Geno is busy sept, but prob start first of oct. Gonna pull body, weld some mounting nuts in the frame. Paint frame then plumb brakes and fuel rebuild rear suspension and set motor/trans.

Genos shop is SW Mo, about an hour north of FATnLOW.

This is the reason i'm unloading my stuff, there ain't much left of me. Tired skelliton of who i use to be.

From my ass dragging point of view the best scenario is for us to be able to form the vision, collect the pieces, and complete the build. Too often to doesn't end up that way. Next best is to be able to pass it on to someone who share and respects the vision. Third someone who respects the car and you trust to build it to their vision. That can work if they get don so you can see it.

Right now I'm still hoping for #1 for my roadster but I am consolidation and tagging parts just in case. (when I run across them) Sorry you felt it was time to make this decision but glad you found someone to pass it on to. Also glad you could find the parts!  :o I'll never forget the feeling of watching one of my best friend driving away in my '38 Ford coupe (first car) and looking at the piddling amount of money in my hand. I lost money on every car I ever sold.

Sad to hear Sammons but hopefully we'll see it here and watch it get finished.  We need another Rustybowtie.com calender to show our rides unfinished or not.
My dad decided to sell his harley.  It sold on consignment and then he started feeling good for a bit so he put that toward a new trike.  Couldn't even ride it home and it's sat since with 68 miles on it.
Those 18yr old brains we have will get us in trouble.  😉

Essex, dreams slipped right thru my hands. All i can say is keep the course and finish those projects.

Sixball, if i hadn't told Tom where i thought stuff was, he wouldn't have found them parts. Gather, bag and tag that stuff😁

Ed, it was nice to talk to you the other night. I sent Lonnie a pic of your sedan. He says "wow, that was a lot of work.

Thanks to you other guys, and thanks for putting up with me.

Lonnie got to his court house today with my antique title bill of sale form. He paniced in line, in Kansas, if your old car is over 60yrs old, all you need is a bill of sale, no inspection with highway patrol. If it is 60 or newer it must be accompanied with an inspection form. He miss read the form, i said calm down and read the bottom again. Oh yeah, it does say that. Got up to window, temp lady there, main gal gone today. She insisted on inspection, he said read the bottom, its way older than 60 yrs old, 90 next jan. She did, plunked around on the computer for a while then, "oh, ok". Paid sales tx and walked out with antique title only. When done then he can tag/insure it.

Bounus, i got my Drivers license renuwed early this morn. Good thing i knew the gal, i missed a z for an s, she said "good to go". I didn't notice that but my buddy told me as we walked out😁
I really didn't want any glasses restriction on there.
