I sold a 1965 Satellite with a 426 wedge back in 1988 because I was approached by a guy who said how much he loved and wanted the car. It was straight as an arrow, beautiful car, factory mags, automatic on the floor, 50,000 miles. I sold it for $3,300. Two days later it was listed in the newspaper for $5,500. I was pissed.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

I guess we all have experienced that, I sold a 64 Vette that I had redone for $5500 back in the early 80's that gut turned around and sold it two weeks later for $7500

The guy I sold the '38 to was a good friend, still is. He raced my brother two or three times in the next week and lost every time. My brother had a '39 with a good running warmed up flathead, cam, shaved stock heads, dual exhaust and one carb. Mine had a bored & stroked flathead with 3 twos and 3/4 cam jahns pop up pistons and Offey heads stamped 10-1. My brother had beat me too recently. We were puzzled. Ted was pulling the flathead and gave me a call. I went over and he showed me a pair of pliers wedged between the firewall and the throttle linkage dow behind the block. The car had bee parked in the garage a while and when I pulled it out to sell it I did some cleaning and work on it. I guess the players fell in there then. It was getting about 3/4 throttle. I wanted to put it all back together a go find my brother bt Ted wanted to get on with dropping a 327 in it. We both check out every '38 DeLux-'39 Standard coupe we see hoping to find one of those cars. A few years ago he told me he started his family in that coupe. I laughed and said I'd started a lot of peoples families in the car.  :o Not true but it was funny. ;) The last we heard of it it was running a Pontiac engine at Fremont drag strip.

This Mach 1 came in yesterday afternoon.  Just wrapped up the new carpet a few minutes ago.

Looks like a nice solid '71. Gotta love those built in front floor mats😁  Nice job.

Very nice work! I owned a '72 green on green, another car I wish I still had.

Rebuilt a pair of seat tracks for a C5 vette. No more rocking back and forth.  8)

Need to do this for my truck.

Weeks ago I called up Ingersoll Rand and they advised me about the part number for the bushing I needed for my 3/8 impact gun.  They said they didnt have one in stock but could be found on the internet cheaply.  Yep about $2.50 ea.
Knocked the broken bushing out and pressed in the new with the vise this evening,  greased it up ,assembled back together.
Works great.  It's nice to have a gun at home.

The last two days were spent taking down a 40' x 32' motorhome storage shed to become my son's shop. We had 3 Milwaukee 1/4" hex drivers & one 3/8 impact. Handy tools for the job that we finished this afternoon. None of the 4 batteries need a charge yet!

My buddy just retired from the John Deere dealership here after 36.5yrs. Just picked himself up a '57 second hand golf cart to run around town in. Kind of a Street Freak 70s vibe with it jacked up and side pipes. Believe i would rather have a Jeep bodied one sitting that high.

Here's my plan (hopefully) for a golf cart down at my mini-golf, Jurassic Adventure Golf
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Taking some fall foliage rides here in New Hampshire.
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Beautiful! Sometime I forget what a variety of colors are in other places. Beautiful fall  weather here after a nice rain a few days ago. The best time of the year.
