That's ok, you're probably better off. You'll find something that will suit you better. You know how cars are, it's a great deal, until the next great deal comes along. Happy hunting.

Those are nice.  8)

Looked at a 91 dodge Dakota today. It had the 5.9, manual trans 5-speed, 4wd. Brand new motor, trans.
Only problem is. He couldn't get it running right.
Probably cause they spliced in the 2 other fuel injectors to the 3.9 wiring harness. It was a mess of wires. He says he is gonna put a carb on it.
Walked away from that but it was cool seeing a V8 in a smaller truck.

I'm getting ready for deer season next month. I got a new scope for the 7mm mag I put together in 1970 and put the old scope on my 30 06. There is a lot of deep cleaning and sighting in to do. I got a bench rest to help with the bruising.  ::)

Good looking quick car!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

am just finishing the battle royale installing my chrysler 7 blade steel fan and Gilmer Cog belt drive WP ALT Crank.  Fan was hitting bottom area of radiator.

So after mucho dicking around and lots of bad words, i got the LOWMOUNT alt bracketry spaced out 1/2" with steel spacer cut on water jet.  Also had to make 3/8" spacer on WP snout to push fan away from cog belt on crank.

But the problem still persisted and i pin pointed the problem as the CUSTOM RAD from NJ side mounting bracketry would not let the radiator go forward to rad shell.  After getting the existing brackets sweated off at local rad shop, i got the original side brackets off of the stock radiator.  One side was rotted badly and got repaired with another set from a 33 ? i had.

After blasting and repairing and painting the side brackets i set the brackets and rad in position and it was perfect to where it should be.  Dug out a package of JB WELD , mixed it up, coated the parts where they needed to be and left it alone to set.

I also dug out a pair of original SIDE RADIATOR AIR BLOCKER PARTS. These stop the air from going around the radiator and only go thru it.  This was a 1934-1935 chev standard series part only.   If you want to remove the headlight mounting bars, you take these out and most times people would not re-install them to the detriment of the chevrolet design to solve a problem.

NOTE.........if you go to all the trouble of taking your alternator and brackets to a powder coater, make sure you GROUND the alt, otherwise it will overheat and destroy bearings.  I used those spikey toothed washers.

finally back after massive computer hard drive failure and could not remember password

Mike, Sometimes it is mind blowing how much work it takes to fix something that at first looks like a small problem. Following through and doing it right is tougher as it gets more involved. Well done here!

Rattiac, I did some of that in California in the '60s. Calaveras County was paying a bounty on coyotes but had no way of knowing which county they came from. My buddy and I kept supplied with beer and ammo all fall and winter. I have only killed one coyote since then. It was one that someone else had shot several times with non-expanding bullets and it was dying in our yard. There are plenty around here.

yes how true.   i have been dicking around for the last month with this and getting ready to do a frenchie and run up white flag.

Its the thinking about how to solve the problem that takes a lot of time.  Sometimes its a blinding flash and YA THATS THE WAY, other times seems to take a day or 4 to figure it out.  Then when you have to make the spacer......1/4" at first, then 3/8" and finally correct one 1/2" steel plate.  Plus you get to play with fan spacers.  Its cramped in there.

I have purchased an electric fan for it, still waiting for it to arrive.  Also the Gilmer cog belt drive 1 1/2" belt system there was a specific alternator bracket that mounts to the cylinder head rather than down low out of sight.  You would think the ebay seller might have said see our listing for correct alt bracket.  I had to telephone them to find out.  I sometimes wonder how seller stay in business when the get so incompetent.

I also have shazzbott with same gilmer system so the bracket and the fan will probably get used there.

Just rewiring headlights to continue with red car and finishing it off and put back on ground and driving.

I just got the new driveshaft for my '32. It's an inch longer than the old one and I believe this 1" will make all the difference in putting my mind at ease that the yoke fits far enough into the tailshaft. Only problem now, is the yoke is much beefier and the diameter is wider, so I had to order a new tailshaft seal....waiting.
