Happy Memorial Day.. Good find Chopper.
Sixball. I get too attached to my dogs. Got a Red Heeler that is going rip my heart out when he goes, although he may outlive me.
Really dry here  plus been having a lot of wind which dries out the trees. I am hauling water the next few days to get the tanks full again.
Hope all you guys had good weekend .  Ron

Here's a picture of my guys from a couple years ago. The little black one left us a year ago. The big shepherd has major hip problems and I'm afraid won't make it through the summer.
Sixball, FATnLOW, ChevRon,  stay safe!

Chopper sorry you got shut down. Heaven for bid they shut down Lowe's or the licquer store🙄. Like the old man use to tell me, in a small town you have to choose your battles carefully.  But Dang, that 67 Lemans would be sweet to get a hold of. Passed on one about 10yrs ago due to too many cars already. Nice group of dogs🙂

Sixball, sorry about your 'ol boy going. At least you got to have him around for a good long time. I still think I get a glimpse of the Inspector now and then, sure do miss that that 'ol boy. I told my brother and buddy Tom to throw a hand full of my ashes on Dads grave, another at the shop and the rest out back of the house where i've got my last 2 boys burried🙂

Here is my buddy Vic, who died at Bonneville in August, with Joe who died yesterday. I got Joe from Vic after Vic forcibly rescued him from a very abusive home. The other two dogs are Hannah & Mandy both gone for a few years. The '89 pickup is dead too.  ;D All but Vic are still on the place. If he had died closer to home he'd probably be down with the dogs too.  ::)

Sixball sorry for your loss.  Good dogs are hard to come by just like good friends.

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

No, The human was Vic. He came back from one tour in Viet Nam a Marine Sergeant. A machine gunner who was too young to buy a beer by a couple of years.

Sorry about your brother, my dad died at 53 largely from poor life choices.  :(

I'm sorry to hear of all your losses. Family and friends (and dogs) are what keep us going, after that, what else do we have?

Other web sites are about many things. The longer this one goes it becomes more about us. I kinda' like that and I thank you all for allowing me to hang out here. As for our dogs?
I haven't found for sure who said he wanted to be the person his dog thought he was. I thought it was Will Rogers but I guess I was wrong. Here are some of his quotes.

A favorite dog joke: Do you know why dogs are said to be man's best friend?
Lock your dog and your wife in the garage over the weekend and see who is happy to see you when you get home.

Thanks, I've heard the song but someone said it before the song was written. Jimmy Scott has a song and JW Stevens used a similar line in a book. There are lots of posters with versions of the line but I don't know where it originated. Maybe it's been out there a long time.

Earlier this week I started on the Model A at work.
Looks like it's a astro van seat.
Should be starting on the interior next week. It smells like gas bad inside that car. Guess that's a Ford thing. 😉
