Sixball, keep us posted on that sandblasting, sounds like a great idea. madmike3435...congratulations Pop-Pop!
Rattiac, you're really motoring on that trailer.
Not much going here. My son's windshield wipers won't shut off, looks like the module on the motor. I took it out yesterday, I'll run down to PepBoys tomorrow.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

I ordered a new pressure washer pump. It should be here by the time spring comes back at the end of the week. Until then I'll try and get other stuff done. I bought a new motor for it last year. It is kind of like the ax I have that once belonged to Abe Lincoln. I have the documentation. It says it is an axe he used splitting rails as a young man but it has had a new head and three new handles since then. :o

Meanwhile one of the guys helping me on the roadster and the cabinetmaker were at his shop sandblasting their parts using his big shop compressor. I got an invitation but don't want to be that close to them right now. They are of dubious character.  :)

This shelter in place needs to end soon. My wife has been reminding me of all the things I told her I would fix when I had time. :(

I've only been out of the house twice in the last couple weeks, 2 trips to grocery store. Wasn't afraid of the virus that isn't here yet, just an arthritis flair up.  So it was warm and sunny today, got a call from a buddy having trouble with a lower door on a '71 Chevy p.u.. Before i left i got a call from my buddy Shane about that deck lid that the guy had dropped off at his place.

Probably broke a lot of City shelter in place stuff. Got down to straighten out lower door problem and got him started. Farmers started gathering around watching talking. Took a trip up town to see if it was still there and open, yep.  Pulled in by the grocery store to talk to a friend coming out of the bank. Watched a guy come out of the grocery store in a mask and gloves, loaded his groceries in truck. Walked around to get in, stopped and pulled his mask down touching face and mask with gloves. Then by the fingertips pulled his gloves off folded them and in his pocket. Drove to other side of street put on his mask then gloves back on to go in hardware store🤯

Got down to Shanes to look at rust on the $1200 decklid from Az. Total POS, whole structure was rusted thru all the way around and in the middle in spots, outter skin along the tail and under the chrome trim on back. No repairing that, past the point of no return there!
Pretty soon there was a crowd of guys getting off work showed up at Shanes shop. Good to see people and BS about cars for a while😁

^^^^Looks good Rattiac!

Man were the cars out lastnight. It was still 82° at 6pm. Teens were trying to figure this thing out, they are not there yet.lol I went out a little early as it grew from about 10 cars to probably 150 on main (some parked). It was getting a bit crowded at 80 cruising, but when a friends wife counted 110  at once it was bumper to bumper 3/4 mile. Not very many old cars due to short notice. Everthing from a pretty girl on a Palimino horse, few golf carts, Tom cruised his '58 Viking, to a '29 Williys roadster(i know fixed w/s post) really nice '57 Chevy 2dr handyman wagon, white with ghost flames.

Statred by everybody in parade fashion to do the drive circle at the rest home shut-ins, they are in lock down. Then past my old boss man from the sevice station days to give a shout out to his 96th birthday.  Bar had carry out only cheeseburger and fries $5.00 and curb side beer for $2😁 I had to give it up at 10pm, hands couln't do anymore and didn't want to jump in with anybody.

Didn't get much photos, was busy😁

Nice job Rattaic You'll be able to get to the safety of the high desert soon where social distancing is measured in miles!

Sammons that looks like fun. I'm afraid if we did that here our liberal transplant Governor would call  outthe National Guard.

Who would have ever thought that it would be the bankers wearing the masks?

Thanks guys for the comments . A desert trip would be nice right now.
Hell my bank wont let you in the building, drive up only.

The mayor here wants to shut down the whole city. My boss is pretty irritated with that thought.
I said. We can park in back and have the front look like it's closed OR I am set up to work from home if I have to.

I like that idea of cruising to the rest home's. Something we should do here.

Stay positive guy's. 😉
Should be cranking out another vid to enjoy.

Rattiac, I heard from a friend who's sister works there that the residents really liked that. Somebody sent them a video of Main Street full of cars, they were excited. I guess i didn't realize there were former cruisers in there from the 50s and 60s days. Our rest home sets on a back street with very little traffic.

If you do, (if allowed and set up with admin)  i'm sure they would enjoy it.

Ed, being busy sure beats crawling the walls. ;D  I need to get my mower up and running next week, grass is just starting to turn green.

Sammons that cruise night was a great idea and looked like a lot of fun. I like the idea of 80 degrees too! They're rolling up the sidewalks here at 8pm, that is for the folks who follow the law. The area I work it seems people don't care about themselves, much less anyone else.

I ended up changing the corner trim for the ceiling.
The thinner stuff was to wavy and wanted to keep the brad nails down lower away from the wire's.
Built the bed frame and started mocking up the cabinets again. Raised those about 5".

Rattiac, look'n good man! Are you going to use a queen air bed? We had got one for the Jeep camper for the remodel, but then sold it instead.

Got my mower fired up yesterday, can't believe the battery was still up. Damn City boys were working on my alley 3 weeks ago. Looks like the Santa Fe Trail ruts back there. They backed the bucket/back hoe into my yard many times to turn around😡 I ran the pick up back and forth across it for 30mins, didn't get much knocked down but better. Mowed and about jarred my teeth loose. Begining the 22nd mowing season on this old Crasftsman, really don't know how many more years it can run.

My nieghbor brought me some beer over yesterday😁
