An acquired taste, more easily acquired when that is what makes you feel better.  8)

Mike it's sure a "Royale" pain in the butt!  ;)

Ed, that will either kill or cure that! ;D  I'll have to stick to the lacquer, that stuff would make me sick. :)

Well I started on the corner under lap piece, then trimmed beat and finally got the whole bottom tacked together. Thankfully it all fit  :D
If I can move tomorrow, i'll connect the dots and finish up welding. Told Tom I hope thats the last of those complex pieces, hurts my head thinking that crap out anymore.

Thanks Ed, I hope your "Crud" is gone!  :)  Should be on the short side now.

Finished weld/grind and drilled the weather strip holes. Got it flipped over and the rust cut out and pattern made. Be glad to be done with these doors, I think the rest of the truck is just a few dents to pull. But.... that might be to early to say 😁

This is crazy. You are doing this and I'm stressing over what should be a few simple patches on the roadster.

It might hurt your head, but you sure make it look easy.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Sixball, you can easy fix metal by welding it back together where you went wrong.  ;)  Wood, go back and glue up some new blocks to recut. :D

My freshman year of wood shop we had a really good instructor. He stressed to measure correctly and tripple check BEFORE cutting or drilling. Then he looked at me and said "With wood you don't have the luxury of painting it to cover up mistakes."  😁

Chopper, other than the "thinking", its fairly simple.  ;)

Had to take yesterday off. Woke up and felt like somebody wopped my butt in my sleep. Dang shakes didn't go away till after lunch.😡

Got patch bent/trimmed up welded up and ground at least. Easy peasy from here on, I hope!

Didn't do nuttin car related in a few days...but usually in the winter months a bunch of  us  car guys usually meet on Thursdays at about 5:30 at different guys garages..we call it garage hopping ..with the guys having big garages we meet and usually have something to eat with food that is brought to the gathering.
Our host last night cooked up 120 enchiladas...and with all the other dishes brought in there was plenty to go around....between the food and desserts we left full as could be....our host has a neat shop set-up a metal building, with living quarters at one end and tear down area and paint booth at the other end...and he's expanding his work area making a clean reassemble area.
Next Thursday will be the last garage hop....our host will have smoked brisket and bologna with all the fixings.....can't wait.....then we will start meeting at a local restaurant parking lot

That sounds like a bunch of guys who know how to really enjoy their shops and friends. You are lucky. :)

FATnLOW, I wish I lived near you!
Sammons, I wish I lived near you, too. Last weekend some guy ran a stop sign and took off the right front corner of my son's 2001 Buick LeSabre. To add salt on the wound, he kept on going, left the scene of the accident. This past week I have been tearing apart the front end, winching the radiator support and tapping metal. I ordered everything I need and hopefully be putting it back together next week. I'm trying to post pic's but for some reason can't get them off my phone
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn
