The last ones for Rattiac.  :)
Today the owner of the black 4x4 and I went out along the Emigrant Trail and did some investigating and metal detecting. Didn't find much mostly finding map points for later an showing him the route to the Gold Rush.

......" There are lots of other connections in this group, part of the fun.

Sixball, that's what it's all about.
Thanks for posting pics. I tend to stay away from the fancy ones myself😁

Been busy helping my old girl friend on her Sundowner aluminium horse/living quarters gooseneck trailer. She is going to sell it and just keep her old steel gooseneck. Walking her thru parts locating and some repairs over the phone this spring. Three years ago we resealed all the roof openings.
She had an appointment 3 weeks ago in Dodge to replace the center roof headliner panel from water damage around the ac unit. Wrong material and they jacked up the price of installation. She walked away. Called me and wanted to know if she was capable of the feat, shes handy and creative like Fatnlows wife😁 I gave her a shoping list to pick up when she got home to Oklahoma, and when she had time to get back up here I had the tools and could walk her thru it.

She got here thursday, and i wasn't much help in the labor department but we got everything done lastnight except for the panel divider trim. She had an appointment back home at 10 this morning, so off she went at 7am. We'll finish that after she gets done with wheat harvest.. Forgot to get pics inside, but a job more suited for Rattiac's camper talents😁

Her Aussie cow dog was going nuts last night barking at the corner in the garage behind a pile of boxed stuff. I'm a little learly a snake may have snuck in while we were bringing tools in last night😬

Great story and nice rig. Many years ago I was looking at a '39 White school bus with the Idea of making it a into something like that with two horse boxes in the back and living quarters in the front. It didn't happen. No snakes so far this week. Her dog may have been after a rodent that snuck in. Cowgirls & farmgirls are the best! I grew up with them and married one. A picture of my uncle and 2 aunts harvesting wheat in Texas during WWII when the older guys were involved in the war effort. Blake was in high school.

Somewhere in the pics grandad give me is him helping his grandad harvest in the early 1920s in west central Kansas. I think he was 16 and they were pulling it with a steam tractor.

Well guess my rest was short. Wheat isn't ready yet, so she'll be back to finish trim early in the morn. Argg, gonna be in the 90s tomorrow.

Great pictures Sixball, I feel like I just walked through a car show, except I'm not tired!

The jeep has been resting since it's long trip.  Noticed the undercarriage was soaked in oil. Thought the power steering was leaking,  turns out the transmission line has a leak and a few quarts short.   :o
Gonna have to have someone "power brake" it while im under it to find the leak.
Hopefully no damage,  trans temps were good on the way home.

Rattiac, good call on pressuring it up. Sometimes that does the trick to finding it. Some of those lines had a tendency to rub on the crossmember and wear a small hole. Hopeing you find it quick!

Last update on horse trailer. Got finished this morning, fixtures back up. Somebody had put some funky thick wood panel separater trim on, (gone now)🙂  I didn't have any 3/4" pine to replace rotten wood pieces but i did have plenty of 3/4" oak left from my house. Forgot to get a pic with the oak installed.

I had her pick up paintable textured wallpaper to do intire ceiling so the new panel matched. Thinner panel separater trim. I cleaned all the filters and repainted the a/c housing and speaker grilles. She still has to paint ceiling then snap on the speaker grilles. She is very happy now😁

Before/after pics.

Good work as usual. It must be nice to help someone who is willing to share the work!

Thanks guys, but she did the 95% of the work. I just guided her thru it. I  just held the broom up on the panel and wallpaper, got lots of paste in my hair.😁  I couldn't raise my arms past my shoulders. I just cut wood/trim and painted stuff.  It did make me nervous teaching her how to operate the air nailer knowing what could go wrong.

She learned a lot of things she hadn't tried before, and I knew she could with the right tools and guidence.  She has the pride of doing it herself🙂

Glad to here the Bonnie is doing well!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!
