Congrats on retiring Chopper!  Enjoy!!!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

I got the new radiator in the '06 Silverado today now one of the tranny cooler lines is leaking where it plugs into the cooler. I'll see what tomorrow brings. :)

I think I got it. The radiator fits several models back at least to '99 when the tranny cooler lines screwed into the cooler. This radiator came with the push in fittings in place but not tight. I didn't check them and I should have. They were not tight. To get to them I had to pull †he electric fans back out and went on and put sealer on them though they should not really need it. I do not understand how the push in connectors work because they are not tight but they are not leaking. I'll try to buff the headlights and install the under seat storage tomorrow.  :)

Too bad you weren't able to fix that radiator, but good you got one and were able to get it in, Sixball.
Thanks guys. It's been a little more than a month, I thought I would miss working.....I don't. Now, I just need to find a project. I might get back working on my son's Camaro, pull the six and drop an eight in it. Actually thinking I might like a big block  ;D

Chopper i think that radiator was leaking where the aluminum core and the plastic tank meet. It went to the dump today.
You know me, build the six or even better put a bigger one in it,292. They are faster than most folks know, sound good, and when done right have a cool factor V8s just don't have. They are easy to turbo. 6 rods, 7 mains strong bottom end.  8)

Been retired for 20 years except for the parts counter work I did for the discount & access to the books.  ;D I have never wanted to close myself in a room with 30 10 year olds again.  :o I wish I could have retired when I was 20.  :)

Thanks.  Anything I can do on my end about pics

Back to the wagoneer. When we pulled the board down,  a bunch of rust fell out  :o.  First time I've seen it this bad . Great,  now I get to clean it all up.
This thing might rust itself from the inside out unless they start parking it inside and let it dry out.

Back in the mid 70's my Dad bought a '64 Wagoneer. It needed a valve job. My older brother, fresh out of Lincoln Tech. auto mechanic school pulled the heads and disassembled them..........about 6 months later my Dad sold the truck in pieces :o

Ever notice that about 90% of the project cars for sale are always apart and in pieces?  That's why I bought that extra 34 Chevy chassis...when the chassis is rolling and with a driveline..then I'll take my 34 coupe apart and install the body on it during a weekend.

I have a friend we used to tease about being the best dismantler in the state. He had 3 projects a Triumph 500 twin, a '37 Ford pickup. and a 30s Airstream trailer all reduced to their smallest components. None were ever reassembled. At least I buy mine in pieces.  ;D
