Rattiac, I'm not too much of a gun guy, but that is wild looking.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

When you need one any gun is better than no gun. Some are more likely to save your life than others. Which one you have depends on where you'll likely be. Standing your ground at home or in your camp a 12 gauge rules. Venturing out into the untamed masses on regular daily activities a 1911 is a good choice. That is what it was designed for over 100 years ago. I am as intrigued by the mechanics of firearms as I am with old cars. I bought my first one when I was eight and blew it up trying to make a muzzle loader out of it when I was twelve. I've learned some since then.  ::)

Couple of days ago had just decided to sell my 33 Ford 3 window coupe! Have had this car for over 20 years! Just figured that I have to many cars and decided to thin out my herd! Now it’s posted 2 cars down on Old Cars Online! Plus already had two scammers overseas plus wanted my PayPal account to send me the money with not even looking at my car! On the good note got a guy coming over tomorrow from RI to look at it from my Facebook Market Place ad! Plus I have just sold my 20 footer 2020 homesteader challenger enclosed car trailer yesterday for $8500 and now looking at an all aluminum 20 foot enclosed car trailer plus with a screen door so I can possibly do some long hauling trips to the NHRA venues mid state and be able to sleep in it! Plus the Old Cars Online I opted for the Free plan just to try it out!

I walked past the nearly finished blasting/rerusting roadster frame today. Did a few little things in the shop.

You'll be reblasting that frame in no time, Sixball.
I just got a new driveshaft yesterday for my '32. The old one I had was a little short and the yoke didn't go as far into the tailshaft as I would like. So, I ordered one from a company called Southwest Speed. It looks good and short give me piece of mind. I am also going to configure a driveshaft loop.

Loops are good. Years ago I banged second and the drive shaft exited through the bed of my pickup. I'm glad no one was behind me! :o

Just got back from a camping trip. Was susposed to stay tonight and leave mid morning but.....
A thick smoke cloud quickly moved in overhead.
Wasn't sure if there was any local wildfires started recently. Tried scanning frequencies to see if I could pick up any ranger stations.

Then it started to rain ash at camp, so we packed up early and left.
I was worried we'd be trapped on the mountain dirt road.
Kinda scary when the view is mostly orange sky.😯🔥🔥

We've been making daily trips to Tahoe. The smoke is the worst for the longest time I have ever seen. We have large fires north, west and south of us and the wind rarely comes from the east. They say some will burn well into October. The sun is not not bright and the moon is an orange shape in the night sky with no stars visible.  :(

Alright guys, I need your input.

Found another Wagoneer locally this time. It just happens to be right by where I went camping last weekend. Wishing I saw this sooner.

Here's the ad.
https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/61163708#.X1kkjxye8WM.link

Been texting with him and found out the key slot has been drilled out and it's missing spark plug wires. Other than that it seems all there.
I was planning on doing a (vice grip garage) thing and try to get it running but...... im thinking of using a car dolly and take slower side roads home towing behind my jeep.
Probably going to check it out this weekend.

Any tips you recommend ?
I'll pull the battery out of the 32 and maybe bring my compression tester along with mass tools.
I guess if it turns out bad, I can always sell it.
Here's pics of the engine bay and rear interior.

Looks like a lot of work to me but I'm filtering that through age and the number of projects already in the yard.
Did they have different 4x4 systems back then? Which one does it have?
Look for signs of hard off road use.
If it's been sitting a long time loosen the drain plug and see if water comes out.
How bad is the rust?
If I was hoping to use the engine I'd try to start it.
Check the tranny fluid. (level-burnt)

Good luck, those are good cars.

I know I'm late to the game, but it looks like a little too much for my taste, even at that price. How did you make out?

The guy started arguing with me about bringing a trailer. I was going to rent a dolly to haul it away but stop down the road to see if I could get it started at least. Kinda odd why he kept arguing with me..
So I didn't even go.
