I know what you are talking about. The planning for my roadster led to the collecting of enough to build three more cars and only one of them is even a Chevy. I have a really hard time getting rid of stuff. I know there is someone out there looking for just what I have too much of but have never had success selling at swap meets or online. I really hate the idea of my wife and kids having to deal with it. Maybe I'll just dig a big hole.  :o

My wife calls me a hoarder. I don't think so, every time I throw something out, two weeks later I need it! However, I retire in 4 months, my plan is to start thinning out.....I hope ::)

Are we husbands in law?   ::)  It is four miles to the highway and two of that is rough dirt & rocks. Going to town, nearest hardware store 15 miles, for nuts & bolts is costly. Over the years mu stash has saved much, time, gas, wear and tear. Plus there in a bar between here and town.  ;D Now if it was organized I'd save more time. A good recovery project for me would be sorting.
A couple of dirt bike friends actually stopped by here to make repairs a few weeks ago because they knew I'd have what they needed.  8)

HAHA! I think ALL of us on here may be husbands-in-law! You have a legitimate reason to save everything. I'm 10 minutes to the nearest Lowes.....5 minutes to the nearest bar ::)

After I retired I couldn't figure out how I had time to work. All work did was give some structure to my time. Now there is no structure and time flies by. Ain't it great? ;D

I will be retiring at the end of October.  I was going to retire at the end of the year but my two oldest grandkids are returning to school in what we call hybrid mode.  They are in school two days a week and remote learning 3 days.  They will be with me on those three days.  I will definitely be cleaning the basement and my garage!  Not only have I accumulated a lot of stuff I still have a lot to clean out from my Dad.  He lived with us for 12 years before he passed and brought most of his "stuff" with him when he moved in.  Looking forward to getting some cleaning done!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Tom, grandkids?! I still have a 15, 19, 21 year old at home. One trend I am seeing here, a bunch of us are retiring in the next 6 months, more time to work on cars ;D.....hopefully.

I'll be teaching my 8 year old granddaughter and 6 year old grandson!
I guess on November 1, I'll have to change what it reads at the bottom of my post!  "Working for a living gets in the way of finishing my car"

Haha, yes. Will you change it to "completing my honey-do list gets in the way of finishing my car"?

Good books, red wine, and warm fires have gotten me through lots of winters. Throw in some shop time and winters are fun.  8)

A few months ago a new indoor "shooting center" opened up, since all the outdoor ranges have shut down cause of the fire season.
Well, I walked in and looked at some shotguns and checked out thier range. A few days ago I picked up this bad boy. My first shotgun. 😯

Haven't got to try it out yet, hopefully next weekend.
Oh yeah, it looks good in the 32. 😉

Kind of makes my Mossberg 500 look obsolete like me, but we still get'er done. I'd like to have something like that. A semi-auto 12 gauge is hard to beat for defense. If they are out of shot gun range it gets tough to claim self defense.  ;D
