Hey Rattiac or anyone else for the matter, I need some advice on installing  a vinyl top on the camaro,  have it sitting up there but there are some wrinkles,  how do you suggest I get the wrinkles out before glueing ? Keep in the sun for a few hours and use  clothes iron on low with something wrapped around it ?    Its a job Ive been dreading for a while but it's got to get done now the weather is here.   Any help greatly appreciated!

Let it sit in the sun for a few hours.

Your going to need a good heat gun and what kind of glue were you planning to use ?
The canned spray glue they sell at vato-zone is junk even if it says hi-temp.
Any upholstery shops in your area ?
Might wanna have them look at it. Might be looking for work and get ya in quick.
Vinyl tops are usually a 2 person job to get done correctly.

Like Rattiac said, lay it in the sun. We use to either drape it across a top out side in the sun or on the hot concrete drive. Heat gun does come in handy sometimes.

Rattiac may use something different, but we always kept a gallon of Weldwood Landau top and trim adhisive. Price can vary quite a bit pending vendor.

Happy Memorial Day guys!! Have a beer and a burger, just take a minute to remember the empty chair. God bless our Veterans!
Unfortunately, we no quicker opened the mini-golf and the police shut us down! The mayor went back on his word, and said he had misinterpreted the governor's order. It's a small town, and sometimes you have to go along to get along. So, we shut down without a stink, but did send the mayor and governor emails......for what it's worth :-\ >:(

Happy Memorial Day and God bless those who gave their lives for us.

Sorry about the shutdown of the mini golf. It is the kind of thing folks need now and could be done safely. This is no longer about health, if it ever was, it is about control and making America as bad as they can before the phony mail in election. When did the US Postal Service become so trustworthy? :o

I have to bury my old dog today. He went in his sleep last night. He came to us via my fried Vic who died in August. Vic rescued him from an abusive situation but had no place for him. He was here about 18 years. I've had to be helping him a lot the last month or so. He was a good dog with all the traits a real dog should have. He stole tools and buried them. He stole my lunch and ate what he wanted of it. He even stole my wallet once and was headed for the bar. He had a good life here and we are better for him. If there are no dogs in Heaven I don't want to go.

Haha Sixball, sounds like he was a character and you had yourself a fine dog and a fine friend. I'm sorry for your loss. That's the only problem with dogs, we usually outlive them. By the way, there are dogs in heaven.

So my nephew calls me up and says the guy who he buys pigeons off of has a car sitting in a field that he just wants to "get rid of". He sends me this picture and asks if I am interested? I've heard stories like this before, but it's coming from my nephew......Of course I said YES! Now lets see, it could be a new project. ;D

I've been wondering where I left that!  ;D Cool, snag it!
I got the old boy in the ground near six of our others. He was the only male I don't know if I did him a favor. It's a great spot on our property with morning sun & afternoon shade. It smells of Pinion, Juniper, and sage. I think I"ll have my ashes scattered there among those who thought I was OK.

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Really warming up fast here and we are getting the extreme fire season warnings from June through August. Time to get out the fire hoses and turn on the system. I have to repair the stand on one of the 2,500 gallon tanks. Every area of the country has it's issues. Stay safe
