Restored steam locomotive
« on: April 25, 2019, 12:17:52 AM »
A few years ago I went to see the "Big-Boy" 4014
as it came through Utah , on its way to Cheyenne for it's restoration. Fast forward a bit and now it's almost finished.
The 844 which was recently restored and the debut of the 4014 will be both (double header) to Ogden and back to Cheyenne.
Can't wait to see this. Hopefully I can get some good chase footage/pics on their way up the canyon.

That would be fun to see. There is something really exciting about steam. My friend works in the Virginia & Truckee shops in Virginia City. It's a neat place to visit. They maintain and restore lots of old stuff there.

Since I haven't been in this area.
I did a pre run before the big day.

Some great scenery and a lot of freight being moved.

Yes it does. Thanks.
I listen to alot of outlaw country.

Today I chased the Big Boy with 804 up Weber canyon to Echo. What a site to see.
Wasn't sure if I was gonna get any good shots/video cause there was a ton of traffic but
was able to get ahead of it to get some "run by's".
Teaser photo for now. Video coming soon.

Very cool!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Are all those cars stopped to catch a glimpse or is it just traffic? Looks like beautiful country too.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn
