A cool bit of living history...

 Edward Lyle Fisk Pinstriper extraordinaire
Click here for a short video

Quote
"As a teenager in the 1950s, Edward Lyle Fisk peeked inside the rear door of a local sign-painting shop so often that the owner finally offered him a job. After learning how to mix colors and handle a brush, Lyle saw a magazine story about pinstriping, and he knew his destiny. Decades later, Lyle is a legend who is still in high demand. “I really like what I do,” he says, scoffing at retirement. “I like getting the brush in my hand and trying to embellish something.”

Nice little video Moose!  Dad use to talk about him, said he was one of the best. Dad met him a few times when he lived in the Anaheim area working at body/paint shops ('69-'70). Dad said you could judge a good pinstriper by the consistant smooth "thin" lines they could lay down. ;)

Nice. My son is a good striper. When he was learning everything we owned had lines on it. He did a lot of it when he was in college at car shows in Texas and California. Pockets bulging with cash. He doesn't do much anymore. It was always fun to watch Von Dutch, Roth, and Tommy the Greek at shows in the '60s.
