Windshield post

One last question regarding the center windshield post on my '39.  According to my best info there are at least 6 pieces to make up the center post.  I have the outside molding and the two rubber pieces.  Making the weld in bar should not be that hard and the inside garnish molding will be shipped Friday.  I'm really stumped as to the sequence of putting things together.  Screws go thru the inner molding, thru both rubber pieces and thru the weld in bar but what do they screw into?  How is the outer molding held in place?  Here is a cross section of the pieces but not sure if they are in order.  Anyone know for sure exactly how they go together?
