Not running yet. buying parts though. I got a frame the guy said it was a 26 turns out its a 29  chevy which is better. It was used as a hay rack for quite a few years so the frame is real clean.

That is a nice one. I drug a '29 out of the brush but while I was loading it I saw that it had been in a fire and it is bent and warped from the heat and probably has no strength. Are you going to use the front suspension setup?

Probably wont use it,but it's in pretty good shape so nothing is set in stone yet. I have the whole thing stripped down to just the frame now.

I really like the looks of parallel leafs in the front. It does create lowering issues without a ridiculous  dropped axle. I like the old 3 springer style used a lot in the early days when Ford was not the norm. Here is a link to a thread on the HAMB.

Dang Ghost, your moving right along. You sure seem to be in the right time and place to pick up the parts you need. :)

Thanks guys. I have had a lock on a lincoln versaille 9 inch  disc brake axle for quite awhile. I decided the time was right to go get it for this project.

Having been off the interweb mostly for the last week and a half, I looked in, expecting to see You Tube vids, of you out doing skids in this by now, haha.
Guess we all get busy with other things along the way, but I'll be expecting a picture update in the near future.  ;)

Just gathering parts. I have everything to build the complete frame, but I have a 3 ford coupe in my shop doing some updates to it, but once it's gone GAME ON. A friens bought a matchbox style model a rodster pickup by for me now I have my inspiration for the build.

I found a set of monogram twin beam headlights for the little truck. They are the same set I have on the buick, I must like them.

I like em, and since you have a set on the Buick, setting them up will be a breeze.

I think I have enough parts to build this hot rod. I still need a grille shell, hood or bonnet if you prefer, tires, drive shaft, and steering collumn and wheel. O f course all the little trinkets like brake lines and assorted crap. Oh and some rear gears for the nine inch. DANG SO CLOSE.

I prefer hood, over bonnet.
Being that this is an American build. Lol.
Some of the older car guys down here call Coles, scuttle. I tell em, if they refer to an American car, then they should use American terms. :D
