1944 then 2014
« on: June 23, 2016, 11:27:59 PM »
(an email recently received)

This is one of the most fascinating forwards I've ever received... I kept going back and forth on each picture and was totally mesmerized!  Now this is an incredible use of technology.  Like traveling back in time!

That was really cool.  Thanks for posting!
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

That is really interesting. I have seen one of cities in the US that produced many of the goods needed to win the war. It is the reverse of this. They were booming in 1944 and look like a war zone now. :(

Those old black and whites reminded me of my army tour in Germany. On my first convoy with tanks traveling through German villages my job was to stay at the convoy tail and document each time a tank clipped and damaged a building so we could limit phony claims.  Heck - after the first town I ran out of paper and just gave up!
