FNG

Hello,

Killbilly led me here. Thx man! (he has a really cool car!)

Another Chevy website, only this looks devoted to vintage iron. I like it!

I have a 31 Chevy so I thought it would fit right in. It's not done yet but it's getting closer.

Here's a link to some pictures. The pictures are not in order but it gives a good idea of what I'm up to.

Wally

Thanks for signing up...really appreciate it. Your 31 Chevy project looks great...I see you're not going on the cheap either!  Starting to see old Chevy parts being listed on this forum already and it's only about a week old!

Always looking for forum format suggestions...

Wally, Nice 31! What did you use for a seat?

The seat came out of a 95 Mercury Villager mini van. I used the middle bench seat. I wanted a bench that would recline because the car is chopped 3 inches and channeled 5 1/2. I needed some head room and wanted to be comfortable going down the road. The seat was leather when I got it but it was tan in color and that wasn't going to fly. I got it out of a local junk yard for $15. The seat has been lowered and modified a little bit but it looks nice and functions great!

I've had the engine running and had the the car together 3 or 4 times but I have not driven it yet.

Hey Wally, good to see you here. The car's looking good!  Jim
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Dang brother! That little coupe is looking tight. I really like the  engine and the dueces. 348 or 409? I couldn't tell. You gotta quit taking it apart and get it on the road and enjoy it.

I know, I know...  :-\  :-\  ;)
I think 2013 is the year it hits the street. Might not be in paint but I'm to the point I just want to drive it.
348 bored 30 over with a 409 crank. (379 cubic inches)
