When I bought my '32 it had a 54-55 truck front axle/drum brake set-up. I switched it out for a tube axle and disc brakes for safety. What I did keep was the '57 Chevy rear, it fits perfect side to side, the perches however had to be relocated to fit the springs.

Chopper  the above url is a rear conversion kit for 55/57 chevy rear end  then you would have 4 wheel disc brakes  WOW

Most of those kits in the url that Vette59 posted use Cadillac Seville calipers which give you a self contained E-brake. I have them on my coupe and the work excellent . I used a 2003 Mustang Handle and LoKar cables  to activate them.

Thanks, Dugeman. I am using a Lokar e-brake handle and cables, so it might be an easy adapt to the calipers.

I'll be keeping with a 55 -63  Rear end with drum brakes. Thats a for sure.
The front also will remain drum, I just need to put together the parts to make it happen.

Dugeman  The rear brakes with the e brake in the hats  are also in the Buick Riviera's as well as the Cadillac's and they work great on most any gm axle.I also think they had the same setup in the lincoln and maybe the marquis in the FERD line up  vette59jdwl
