Been fishing
« on: July 03, 2015, 09:32:08 PM »
My brothers and I got together and went fishing in the colorado mountains. A lot of lakes and miles driven. We ended up about 10,000 feet at a place called clear creak lake, and proceded to slay the trout. on the first day we caught about 20 pan size, but only kept 5 for a fish fry that night, but on the last day we struck gold at a area we found near the fill point of the lake. We caught close to our limit of eight and wanted to keep fishing so we kept cutting them loose and it paid off later in the day with a 24 and 22 inch rainbow on my lines. My brothers aren't talking to me. We are gonna go back up next week after the 4th for a few days.

Nice catch Ghost!  Nothing like getting out with family for a fishing trip.  Went up to Maine with my son.  We each had a small mouth bass over 3 lbs and he beat me for the largest fish by 1 ounce, a 4 lb 10 ounce large mouth bass.  The only problem was he was so excited he put it back before we could get a picture of it!

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

just got back late wednesday form our last trip up fishing, we caught a bunch more, but threw most of them back. My sister caught a 20 inch rainbow, and is in the process of finding a new recipe for it.  It rained hard most of the time on this last trip, and the tents and camper developed some leaks. we made the best of it using some McGuyver fixes, but I don't think I want to bait a hook for quite awhile.
