Yep sixball, me and my friend Tom have to watch that every year, and when he was here last night we had to listen to "Alice's restaurant". Tradition at my house. ;D

Well change of plans ;D We were supposed to have Thanksgiving at my sister's but with the storm up here they lost power.  Can't cook a turkey in an electric stove with no power so the turkey, all the fixings and all the family will be coming over to my house.  We got about 8" of snow but still have power and a natural gas stove :)  Should be a great time!!!

Sounds like you will be setting up in your garage again for the holiday. Move that hot rod over.

"Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go!" It's pretty hard to convert electric ranges to wood. This will be a special memory to add to your collection. ;)

My sons just left to carry out a Thanksgiving tradition that they started with some friends when in high school. They go shooting a couple of miles from here out in the hills. There are 8 or 10 of them in their late 20s to early 30s and have been doing this since the first one got a driver's license in 1997. I would love to go with them but that's not the tradition. ;D

Just got done watching the parade with my little guys. The ham and turkeys are already in. Stuffing made, potatoes cooking. Expecting about 15 people plus my 6, there's gonna be a full house.
You're right Sixball, my folks left me with some great memories, now I have to do the same thing for my boys.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! :)

Just got through eating turkey, ham, and all the fixins.  We got my mother out of the home by putting her wheel chair in the back of a van, with her in it.  What a trouper.  Never missed a Thanksgiving with family, and she is already talking about doing the same for Christmas.

Talk about memories, it is never the same but each year we are fortunate enough to make more.

Thank you guys for sharing...

All went well, four generations enjoying a great meal and time together.  The wife only had a couple of hours to stress out about getting the meal ready.  Didn't have time to clear out the garage Ghost.  That tradition will have to wait for Christmas :D

Tom just read your post about the snow and your sister not having power.  I'm sure that it will turn out alright and you will have another great memory to tell. Is it unusual for you all to have snow this time of year? We awakened this morning with a light dusting

Not unusual at all.  The problem was it was a heavy wet snow and was knocking down trees and branches taking the power out.  My sister has a generator but it won't power the electric stove.  It all worked out great, I really like it when we all get together over here.  Usually I clean out the garage and turn the heat on so we can set up 3 tables end to end and all sit together.  Just didn't have the time to do that after I came in from snow clean up.

What a great ideal maybe we should write them a letter and suggest it. All the sporting. Good stores have them.

One of the last things my younger son said when he left this evening so he could be at work in the morning to open the store was that he was glad that O'Reilly Auto Parts didn't do Black Friday.

Well it's almost 10:00 PM and I'm feeling well enough to try coffee and pie. ;D We finished the kitchen remodel just in time for today. Everything went well and the head cook was happy. 8) Life is good. :)
