GM Dually Trucks
« on: November 23, 2014, 09:20:17 PM »
One of my other likes are GM Dually trucks, always liked the mass of the 3500HD series truck. They look like a typical C1500, C2500 or C3500 until you study them....only the body is the same.  They are 15,000 GVW, 19.5" tires, 10-bolt wheels, C50 type front axle and disc brakes on all 4 corners. They were actually made to compete with trucks like the Ford 4500 series.

Built a few over the years and at one point had trouble locating parts and info on the 3500HD..so I started a forum for them back in 2009.  Since then we have gathered -718- members ..not bad for one specific truck model.

I'm building another one right now. Just got the motor done a 350 with TPI and a NV4500 tranny.  These trucks really need big a block gas or diesel...but mine will be a part time toy.  It's a collection of extra parts I picked up over the years...actually all of the parts haven't cost me a dime - a result of wheeling/dealing 3500HD parts ;D

It's a tall truck with 9' flatbed so I'm working on it outside between bad weather...but it's still fun.

Our forum has members from Sweden, Germany, England, Ireland, Canada etc...

Forum address is: www.3500HD.com

Also..you guys probably have figured out that I have Conservative values ::).  I often see news stories that have great info and wanted a way to catalog them for any future debate. So what I did was start a blog directed at "Upstate NY Values" and began collecting articles for the blog.  It came in handy for our recent Governors race...where the Democrats won as usual.  Two thirds of New York State's entire population lives in NYC and of that nearly 40% of the NYC population is foreign born. So while I live on a small 60 acre farm 375 miles from NYC...we live under laws directed at the crap hole.

FYI: Here is the address of my blog:   www.TraderNorth.com

Ed, I just checked out your blog. I liked the Hillary's Mafia article. We wound up with a liberal governor down in PA too. Oh well, we did good overall, let's keep the momentum until 2016.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn
