We laugh about it all the time. I knew we were going to be OK when the doctor looked at the X-rays and told the nurse he could save her leg. There was a lot of bonding that first year or two. A strange coincidence, about a week or two later a couple from the same high school we went to, the guy from my class the girl from hers, on the opposite side of Yellowstone Park from where we were got in a wreck on their honey moon and she was killed. We were lucky and still are. :) Life is good! Some days are better than others.

Amen, Sixball. My dad used to say, every day I spend above ground is a good day. One day at a time and make every day count.

You got it. Now back to the original topic here. I'm still all for stock or very near with a "hot rod stover".

You guys had some fun with the "too much information" about my wife.  Love the stories.  Who wrecks on their honeymoon?  wow.

Latest update -
Last week I helped him with his daily driver, fixing a brake line issue.  Yesterday I worked on freeing the 55 Hudson from the old broken down barn.  I think it will make it's first trip out of that barn in 20 years, today.  We are going to tow it to my house, clean it up and list it on ebay.

I spoke with him about the 33 Chevy coupe yesterday.  He said that he would like to start the discussion at $3000 so I have room to negotiate him down.  From an ethical point of view, I think that price is fair.  From a monetary point of view, I'd like to get it cheaper.  (I have a daughter in college.)  Ultimately the price is anything is driven by what someone will pay for it.  There are still several things that I need to know about the condition of the car.  Will the driver's side running board need to be replaced?  How much of the wood framing needs to be replaced?  Where can I find someone to replace the wood with steel in or around Indianapolis?  What will it take for the engine to run?  What does the car's interior stored in his house look like?

Thanks for listening to my story,
R

Ron,
As Ed said $3K is a fair price for the car.  I'm not sure what your skills are but if you have any questions as too how much work it is to replace the wood with metal PM me and I'll give you my number if you'd like to talk about it.  You can also check out my build thread in the Members Build section "33 Chevy Cabriolet".  Good luck and I hope you get the car!

Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

$3000  Seems to be a good price....I gave more than that for my 33 sedan...But beings I bought it with the intentions of street Rodding my 33, I was able to recover half my  purchase price by selling  all the parts that I was not going to use, I  Listed items on the Antique Chevy Forum and also on E-bay, you would be surprised what a person will give for original parts. I had a Lot of calls for various parts, and was able to get rid of all the  parts .Just  letting you know that  parts that you are not going to use are in demand by others  ......FATnLOW

I know it's not a Chevy but I got the 55 Hudson out of the barn today...finally.  Washed it off, not too bad.

It doesn't look too bad at all from those pictures. It's definitely different looking. Take the kids out to get ice cream in that.
How are negotiations on the '33 going?

Twin H power

It's got a twisted hinge on the driver's side but it's a solid car.  I'm working on the other two cars first then I'll decide.  Today was all day working on getting this car out of the broken down barn, then having it towed to my house, then washing it.  Tomorrow I need to clean all the acorns out of the interior and clean it up.  Hopefully I can list it on Ebay tomorrow and move on to the 1950 Hudson.

Trying to be patient, that usually works well when there's no competition.
