Thank you sammons, everything can be considered progress. Sometimes when you
have to redo something it's not that fun, but it's still progress, because if you hadn't done it
today, you'd have to do it tomorrow.
Trying my darnest to stay positive.

I mounted the driver's side running board  yesterday. Makes me wonder how many times i
have mounted and taken the fenders off the body.
Today I started tweaking the driver's side fender, and noticed that when you push the inner
fender edge forward to make the fender line up with the other one, the outer fender edge
shifts outward, making the fender look like it's sqewed. This made me cut through most of
the fender to adjust it in the opposite direction of the reaction.
It's kinda endless, every adjustment makes other parts of the fender go out of adjustment,
making it a lot of back and forth.

I finally got the fender to look like it fits decently, and turned to the right hand side fender.
I cut it up at multiple spots to get it to look a bit more like the other fender, measured and measured.
I finally cut the back part of the fender off, and stretched it 15/32".
Now it looks better, I might leave it like this. It's just tacked in place for now, I'll decide tomorrow.
I took a ton of pics, flipping some of them to see if they fenders look alike when seen by
eachother in the pics.
It's not driving me nuts yet, not yet...

Nice to have you back, Rattiac.
I've watched your videos on youtube during summer, taking in some inspiration.
I like that Pontiac.

I didn't notice it till you pointed that out. You are cetainly right, if you know where its at it will drive you crazy till you fix it. Dad use to laugh at me on that. "Your the only one that will see that, unless you point it out. They can only see one side at a time anyway".    Ya, but i'll know it's there and can't settle for that😁

Your still making good progress!👍

Brother got all the spare parts loaded, every nook and cranny filled. I think it's ready for the shipper, just hope he gets here before my brother has to go back home.

Found a few Vette books and my old IGO office plaque. I gave him the IGO sign off the front of the shop already on one trip back here. He will still have to get back and get the red/white stripped panels that ran upright that ran from the top to the bottom of the side of the building.

Been awhile since I've been here.  32 has sat since the funeral,  last started in July.  Due for another cold start.  Winter started already.
Sooo much done and just barely getting back to my life.  Fill yall in when I get some time.

This is not perfection,  TFoch, it's self protection.  When you know something
doesn't look okay, if you don't make it right, it's going to bug you until you get rid of the car.
Otherwise, if one can make it smooth with filler, it's good enough.

My best rod builder buddy was going to come visit me today, in the garage and
discuss how to get the fenders done. I had planned to do some adjustments before
he came, and realized that when I move the front of the fender, the whole thing shifts.
Of course it does, but sometimes the bulb just doesn't light up.
So, the obvious thing to do is to mount the running boards and get the aprons ready
to fit the fenders. I measured the running boards and ajusted so they were parallel,
then made a runningboard to rear fender mount from some angle iron, adjusted
things till all fit, drilled a bunch of holes and bolted everything down on the right hand side.

The driver's side is just loosely fitted.

The right hand side looks pretty good and the whole car seemed to grow a bit when I
got the apron and running board mounted.
The running boards are still too wide, and will be cut down a bit, the right hand one is
also still too long and will be cut down later.

I can see the difference. Perfection takes time!
