CARTHAGE, N.Y. (AP) - State Police are searching for an antique car that was stolen from a residence in northern New York.

The 1930 Model-A Ford is dark green in color and has black trim with yellow spoke wheel rims. The vehicle also has chrome detailing, and the seats are in poor condition.

The theft in the Town of Croghan in Lewis County was reported a week ago.

Troopers also are looking for a Ford pickup truck that was seen leaving the area of the crime just after the theft was discovered. The older model four-door truck has lots of rust and is believed to be blue or teal in color.
Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 315-782-2112.

If the NY police are anything like our police, what they are really doing is asking the public to do their job for them.  Still and all, I hope they find the car.

That's too bad. You can bet they didn't steal it to restore it. It will not look like that the next time it is see. Probably chopped to pieces with more rust than the getaway truck or maybe "pootina" :(

I just found out that a '60 Pontiac was stolen from a friends yard last week. I hate thieves! They don't just steal the stuff. They steal the part of your life you sold to get the money to buy the stuff and the part of your life you spent building it.  >:(
