Title: 1930 Chevrolet Dash
Post by: munch on September 09, 2013, 02:37:19 PM
I have a 1930 Chevy dash that I bought a while back and have started to sand and prime it as it is in good shape.  The top of the dash is flat, but I noticed when looking at the bottom edge, the drivers side appears to crown,  or bow, outward from the steering column mount to the gauge area.  It does not appear to have been damaged any where and has no creases or dings.

Can anyone tell me if the contour is original?i

There is one on ebay that does not look like it has a bow in that area although it has some damage where the steering column mounts.    All of the early Chevy's that I have seen are straight. Take a look at this link and see what you think.
